As our Broadcast TV Director – Part-Time, you play a critical role focused on directing all Trail Blazers live television productions throughout the season both at home and on the road. Additionally, you will manage and coordinate internal technical aspects of the Trail Blazers TV Broadcast.   



  • Committed to developing a collaborative, innovative, diverse, and inclusive culture within the Broadcast team.
  • Serve as Director of live television production.
  • Attend production meetings and be an active participant in show planning to help bring the Broadcast Producer’s vision to life.
  • Lead and manage all game night technical production crew.
  • Manage all technical operations with TV/Streaming distribution partners.
  • Assist with planning, research, consultation, and implementation of Broadcast (TV) budgeting process.
  • Collaborate across all Trail Blazers & Rose Quarter departments, including Corporate Partnership, to drive towards revenue goals.
  • Assist with production and technical set up as needed.


  • Have at least eight (8) years of experience in directing live sports broadcasts.
  • Have expert knowledge of broadcast production facilities including gear, equipment, and software programs.
  • Are highly skilled at problem-solving and quick on-demand decision-making.
  • Are a collaborative team player with the ability for independent thinking as well as thorough communication.
  • Have creative and engaging storytelling abilities.
  • Possess the ability to drive innovation.
  • Have knowledge of basic computing equipment and software typical in a modern office environment. Knowledge in practical application of Windows OS, MS Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.
  • Are skilled in developing, fostering, and maintaining constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Are able to maintain confidentiality, work with sensitive or proprietary information, and exercise discretion.
  • High Basketball IQ preferred.
  • Must be able to travel to all away games with Basketball team.
  • Have the ability to work various nights, weekends, and holidays
