We are seeking a driven, passionate, and experienced Paralegal to join our in-house Legal team.

As our Corporate Paralegal, you will play a key role in working with the legal team on litigation, operations, contract administration, and other governance matters. You also will work on special projects, including the development and management of legal processes and procedures which support the Office of Legal & Business Affairs.

 

WORK ARRANGEMENT:

In alignment with our commitment to flexibility and contemporary work dynamics, we operate under a hybrid work model. As such, the Paralegal will be required to maintain a presence at our primary office location, the Moda Center, for a minimum of three days per week.

 

DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Assist with litigation management, including researching, identifying, and collecting information to respond to interrogatories, requests for production and third-party subpoenas and collaborating with internal clients and outside counsel.
  • Assists with outside counsel management, including the development of an outside counsel selection and engagement process, periodic reporting.
  • Help to develop various operational processes related to the engagement, annual law firm evaluations, rate reviews, and invoicing.
  • Assist in the development of departmental metrics, and fiscal planning and management.
  • Create, draft and assist with compiling and producing various departmental reports, presentations, data and analytics.
  • Assist in management, enhancement, development, and presentation of various legal operations processes.
  • Conducts routine legal research and writing to support legal operations and summarize legal pleadings and other documents.
  • Assist in revamp of litigation operations, including the implementation of measures to assess, manage and streamline. processes, contain cost and reduce spend.
  • Assist with the facilitation of internal and external engagement and education.
  • Assist with strategic planning.
  • Assist with special project administration and management.
  • Draft waivers & releases.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Paralegal certification and/or 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate in-house departments or at a large law firm.
  • Superior written and oral communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of basic litigation terminology and principles.
  • Knowledge of basic contract clauses, drafting, and legal routing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to create workflows and process improvements.
  • Experience with e-discovery and/or claims management.
  • Ability to perform legal research using Westlaw and other research tools.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Office 365, Adobe, PowerPoint, Westlaw, and other applications and litigation tracking software, such as Legal Tracker and Legal Hold Pro.
  • Discretion, sensitivity, and tact in handling internal and external confidential matters.
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines and to work independently, as well as the ability to work on a team.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects and tasks.
